About IRAF
A continental intellectual ecosystem designed to rebuild Africa's intellectual sovereignty
Introduction
The Intellectual Rebirth African Forum (IRAF) is a continental intellectual ecosystem designed to rebuild Africa's intellectual sovereignty by nurturing thinkers, protecting ideas, and converting African knowledge into power.
IRAF operates on the fundamental belief that Africa does not lack intelligence—Africa lacks a system that believes in it. We are building that system.
Through our three core pillars—the Intellectual Rebirth African Summit, the School of Ideas & Invention Studies (SIIS), and the African Intellectual Capital Bank (AICB)—we create pathways for African ideas to become African solutions, African knowledge to become African power, and African thinkers to become African leaders.
Our Vision
To create a self-sustaining African intellectual ecosystem that believes in African intelligence, protects African ideas, and converts African knowledge into power—transforming how Africa thinks, builds, and leads.
Our Mission
- Unite African intellectuals across disciplines, borders, and generations to create a continental network of thought leadership
- Birth new African thinkers through comprehensive education, mentorship, and intellectual development programs
- Institutionalize African knowledge through research, documentation, preservation, and systematic knowledge management
- Produce African solutions by connecting ideas to resources, protecting intellectual property, and facilitating commercialization
